Prince Rahim Aga Khan V Arrives on Maiden India Visit
The 50th Imam of the Ismaili community begins a week-long official tour to meet top Indian leadership.
Prince Rahim Aga Khan V arrived in New Delhi on Wednesday to commence his maiden official visit to India since acceding as the 50th Imam of the Ismaili community. The week-long visit comes at the formal invitation of Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan. During his stay in the national capital, the spiritual leader is scheduled to hold high-level bilateral talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, President Droupadi Murmu, Home Minister Amit Shah, and External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar. The official itinerary also includes travel to major hubs like Ahmedabad, Mumbai, and Hyderabad, where the Aga Khan Development Network actively manages numerous long-term community development, heritage preservation, and socio-economic welfare initiatives.
